OUR STORY

A DISTINCT EXPRESSION

Created to stand apart from convention, Vasuki Amara is a modern interpretation of India’s perfumery heritage where tradition is redefined.

Rooted in a land where fragrance has long held cultural and sensory significance, the House draws from India’s depth, its rituals, its identity, and shapes them with contemporary precision.

Each creation reflects a pursuit of refinement, elevating familiar notes into something unexpected.

Vasuki Amara is not bound by the past, but informed by it, a new expression of Indian luxury, crafted for the present.

Cultural Heritage & Legacy

At Vasuki Amara, our journey begins in 1526, a pivotal year marking India's rich heritage in perfumery.

This era saw the fusion of indigenous techniques with Persian influences during the Mughal period, fostering an era of aromatic innovation.

Indian perfumers perfected the art of distillation, creating exquisite attars and aromatic oils from natural ingredients like sandalwood, rose, and jasmine.

We honour this legacy by infusing our fragrances with the timeless elegance and meticulous craftsmanship of India's olfactory traditions.

Our Craft Is Our Vision

In a market dominated by European and Middle Eastern brands, Vasuki Amara stands out by embracing its Indian heritage, offering a uniquely refreshing perspective.

More than just perfumes, Vasuki Amara celebrates India’s rich olfactory legacy, bringing a new dimension to the world of luxury fragrances.

Inspired by a visit back to the Motherland, the profound depth of scents, the history of perfumery, and the breathtaking scenery were revealed. The vibrant markets, ancient temples, and lush landscapes provided an olfactory journey that highlighted the essence of India's aromatic heritage, shaping the unique identity of Vasuki Amara.

The Trident & The Serpent

Our logo symbolises the rich heritage behind Vasuki Amara (वासुकि अमर).

Inspired by the Vasuki Indicus, the world's longest snake species, the serpent forms an infinity symbol to represent "Amara" ("eternal" in Sanskrit).

The trident, an ancient weapon, signifies power and resilience.

Both elements are linked to the iconic imagery of Lord Shiva, one of the most revered figures in Hindu mythology.

Together, they embody the essence of our brand: a blend of historical depth and contemporary luxury, crafting fragrances that are both unique and timeless.
